Zain KSA announces back-to-back two MoUs, one with Rakuten Symphony and another with Nokia.
Rakuten Symphony and Zain KSA have announced the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU). It is to enable strategic collaboration in building next-generation telecommunications networks based on open standards and network infrastructure provided by Rakuten Symphony.
Under the terms of the MoU, Rakuten Symphony and Zain KSA will collaborate to accelerate the delivery of mobile network services through the use of open technology that will facilitate and revolutionize wireless infrastructure, with the potential to deliver cost-effective solutions in a quick and efficient manner. Rakuten will work with Zain KSA on a blueprint for a cloud-native, fully virtualized, new-generation radio access solution architecture, which will be Open RAN 4G and 5G-based with advanced automation capabilities.
On the other hand, Zain KSA and Nokia have signed MoU to accelerate sustainability efforts. The two parties will make efforts together to bring down carbon emissions and bridge the digital divide. The MoU reiterates a strong partnership between the two companies and confirms Zain KSA’s unswerving commitment to achieve Saudi Vision 2030 objectives.
Both Zain KSA and Nokia together will evolve Nokia Self-Organizing Network (SON) use cases to boost energy savings. Through this collaboration, the two parties will make efforts to continue the digitalization journey in the Kingdom, bridging the digital divide and ensuring inclusive access to opportunities.
